Beach School training - so very different, yet so many similarities.

During our training, we met our new friends, got our handouts and portfolios and hit the beach.

I was lucky enough to be on the course in Robin Hood's Bay, Yorkshire, an amazingly breathtaking beach, perfect for a beach school setting.

During the two day course, we learnt about a range of topics from tidal forecasts to operating procedures.

The entire training will take me up until December as there will be over 40 hours of self study included.

I will be running two pilot sessions just outside of Tokyo and I will be able to review them for my portfolio.

The paperwork is the time consuming part of both the courses, but the policies, procedures, health & safety elements are the most important, so it is worth this time to prepare.
